Greater Kruger National Park

Located on the southern bank of the Crocodile River, Ziziphus River Lodge overlooks the Kruger National Park and is the perfect place to spot hippopotamus, elephant, buffalo, lion over morning coffee.

The Buffalo Thorn or Ziziphus mucronata, lends its name to the lodge.
The northern Nguni people use a branch of the Buffalo Thorn to carry a deceased person’s soul to his village of origin.
ZIZIPHUS ACCOMODATION
A TRULY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCEThe lodge sleeps ten people. There are two river rooms and three bush chalets, all en suite. The bush chalet king size beds may be converted into singles, available on request. All the bedrooms are supplied with a fridge, small tea station and air-conditioning.

The lodge has been designed to blend in with its natural environment. It runs on solar power, and water is sourced from a borehole.
